Brakes, steering and alignment

Stop smoothly, steer straight, and know what's worn

Brakes and steering are the systems you can least afford to guess about. We measure every part, show you the photos, and replace only what's actually worn.

What we handle

From a squeak to a full brake job

We repair the whole path from your foot to the road, and we explain each part in plain terms.

Brake pads and rotors

Replacement of worn pads and resurfaced or new rotors, with the hardware cleaned and lubricated for quiet, even stops.

Calipers and drum brakes

Seized calipers, sticking slides and worn rear drums, repaired so your car brakes evenly on all four wheels.

Brake fluid service

Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time. A fluid exchange keeps the pedal firm and protects the lines.

Steering and suspension

Tie rods, ball joints, shocks, struts and power steering parts, checked and replaced as needed.

Alignment and balancing

Precision alignment and wheel balancing to stop uneven tire wear and steering pull.

Brake and lamp inspection

A full look at brakes, brake lines, ABS sensors and exterior lights, with color-coded results.

Signs it's time

What your brakes and steering are telling you

Most brake and steering problems announce themselves early. If any of these sound familiar, don't wait for a bigger repair.

  • A squeal, scrape or grinding sound when you brake
  • The pedal feels soft, spongy or sinks toward the floor
  • The car pulls to one side or the steering wheel shakes
  • The ABS or brake warning light stays on
  • You hear clunks over bumps or feel loose steering

FAQ

Brake and steering questions

How long do brake pads last?

It varies with your driving. Stop-and-go traffic and heavy loads wear them faster, and many sets last between 30,000 and 60,000 miles. We measure the pad thickness so you know how much is left.

Do I need new rotors every time I replace the pads?

Not always. If the rotors are thick enough and smooth, they can often be reused. We show you the measurement and let you decide.

Why does my steering wheel shake at highway speed?

Unbalanced wheels are the most common cause, followed by worn suspension parts or a bent wheel. A quick check usually tells us which one it is.
