Diagnostics and electrical

A warning light is a question. We find the answer.

A code tells us where to start, not what to replace. Our technicians test the system, confirm the cause and explain it before recommending any repair.

What we handle

Electrical and computer problems, solved properly

Modern vehicles run on sensors and software. We have the scan tools and the experience to read them correctly.

Check engine light

We read the codes, run tests to confirm the real cause, and give you an estimate to fix it, instead of swapping parts and hoping.

Warning lights

ABS, airbag, traction control, tire pressure and charging lights, diagnosed so you know whether it's safe to keep driving.

Batteries and starting

Battery testing and replacement, plus starter and ignition coil checks for cars that are slow or refuse to start.

Alternators and charging

Alternator and charging-system tests that catch a failing unit before you're stranded.

Wiring and accessories

Lights, windows, locks, sensors and other electrical faults traced to the source and repaired.

Hybrid systems

Service for hybrid components on most makes, including battery health checks and cooling system care.

Signs it's time

When to bring your car in for a diagnosis

Electrical problems can be intermittent, which makes them easy to ignore. These are worth checking sooner.

  • The check engine light is on or flashing
  • The engine cranks slowly, clicks or won't start
  • Headlights dim or flicker while you're driving
  • You notice rough idling, stalling or poor fuel economy
  • A warning light comes and goes without a clear pattern

How diagnosis works

From warning light to a clear answer

Our approach is the same for every diagnostic visit. A diagnostic check starts from $129 (demo price).

  1. Scan and test

We read stored codes and live data, then test the circuits and components behind them.

  2. Confirm the cause

We pinpoint the failed part or fault and record photos or readings that show it.

  3. Review the estimate

You get a written estimate with what's urgent and what can wait, sent to your phone.

  4. Repair and retest

After the approved repair we clear the codes, retest the system and road-test the car.

FAQ

Diagnostic questions answered

Is it safe to drive with the check engine light on?

If the light is steady and the car drives normally, you can usually drive it short-term, but get it checked soon. If it flashes, or the car runs rough, stop driving and call us.

Why can't you just read the code and tell me the fix?

A code points to a system, not a specific part. A misfire code, for example, can come from a plug, a coil, a vacuum leak or a fuel problem. Testing saves you from paying for parts you didn't need.

Is the diagnostic fee applied to the repair?

Ask us when you book. We'll explain how the diagnostic charge works for your situation on the written estimate, before any repair is approved.
